Parent Consent and Service Policies

Thank you for your interest in our teen anger management and emotional regulation services. These services are designed to help teens build practical skills for managing anger, understanding triggers, improving communication, and responding to conflict in healthier ways.

These services are educational and skill based. They are not therapy, counseling, mental health treatment, crisis intervention, or a substitute for services provided by a licensed mental health professional.

Parent or Guardian Consent

A parent or legal guardian must complete the intake and consent form before services begin. By booking a session, the parent or guardian confirms that they have the legal authority to consent to services for the minor child.

The parent or guardian also understands that the service provider will work with the teen on anger management education, emotional regulation strategies, communication skills, decision making, and conflict resolution.

Services Provided

Sessions may include discussion, reflection activities, goal setting, coping strategies, communication practice, and behavior skill building. The purpose of each session is to help the teen better understand anger and learn practical tools for managing emotions and conflict.

Services may address topics such as:

  • Identifying anger triggers
  • Recognizing body signals connected to anger
  • Learning calming and coping strategies
  • Improving communication with parents, teachers, and peers
  • Practicing conflict resolution
  • Setting personal behavior goals
  • Reflecting on choices and consequences

Limits of Services

These services do not include diagnosis, therapy, clinical counseling, psychological testing, medication recommendations, or treatment for mental health conditions.

If a teen is experiencing a mental health crisis, making threats of harm to self or others, engaging in unsafe behavior, or needing clinical support, the parent or guardian should contact a licensed mental health provider, physician, emergency service, or 911.

Confidentiality and Parent Communication

A respectful and private environment is important for teen growth. General session topics may remain private so the teen feels comfortable participating. However, because the client is a minor, the parent or guardian may receive general updates about attendance, participation, progress, concerns, and recommended next steps.

Confidentiality is limited. Information may be shared with a parent, guardian, or appropriate authority if there is concern about safety, harm to self, harm to others, abuse, neglect, or any situation required by law.

Emergency and Crisis Policy

This business does not provide emergency or crisis services. Messages, emails, contact forms, and appointment requests may not be reviewed immediately.

If there is an emergency, immediate safety concern, threat of harm, or mental health crisis, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, contact a crisis hotline, or contact a licensed mental health professional.

Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time of booking unless another written arrangement has been made. Appointments are not confirmed until payment is received.

Accepted payment methods may include credit card, debit card, or other online payment options listed on the booking page.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled session time. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged a cancellation fee or may not be eligible for a refund.

If the client does not attend the session and does not provide advance notice, the session may be considered a no show and may not be refunded.

Late Arrival Policy

Sessions are scheduled for a specific time. If a client arrives late, the session may still end at the original scheduled time. This allows appointments with other clients to begin on time.

Refund Policy

Refunds may be provided for cancellations made within the required cancellation period. Refunds are not guaranteed for missed appointments, no shows, or late cancellations.

If a session must be canceled by the business, the parent or guardian may choose to reschedule or receive a refund.

Technology and Virtual Session Policy

If sessions are offered virtually, the parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring that the teen has a private, appropriate, and safe location for the session. The teen should have access to a reliable internet connection, working audio, and a device suitable for participation.

Sessions may not be recorded by the parent, teen, or service provider unless all required parties have given written permission.

Parent Participation

Some sessions may include parent involvement, especially during intake, goal setting, progress review, or follow up planning. Parent involvement helps support consistency between the session, home, and school environments.

Behavior Expectations

Teens are expected to participate respectfully. Inappropriate language, threats, harassment, unsafe behavior, or refusal to participate may result in the session ending early. Continued services may be discontinued if behavior becomes unsafe or inappropriate.

Privacy and Personal Information

Information collected through this website, intake forms, booking forms, and payment systems is used for scheduling, communication, payment processing, and service planning.

Parents and guardians should complete all forms on behalf of the teen. This website is intended for use by parents and guardians seeking services for teens.

Personal information will not be sold. Information may be shared only as needed for payment processing, scheduling, legal requirements, safety concerns, or service related communication.

Acknowledgment

By booking a session, the parent or guardian confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these parent consent and service policies.
